Preparing 3D inventory with detailed technical documentation of the building located in Norway did not require us to leave the country. Thanks to the point cloud* provided by the investor, we were able to model scanned building with an accuracy of up to 2cm, which is impossible with a traditional inventory, especially in the case of historic buildings or buildings in poor technical condition.
*A point cloud is a multi point set that is a geometric representation of a scanned object. Clouds are made indirectly (by photogrammetry) or directly (by 3D laser scanning), but it is possible to provide a cloud that is a combination of both technologies, which allows full visualisation of the scanned object.
